2001- present
Art Instructor
Napa Valley College, Napa, CA
Currently teaching pastel painting, basic drawing and computer art to
community college students. Beginning drawing uses charcoal, pen and ink  to
create still lifes and portraits. Pastel drawing focuses on soft pastel
still lifes. Computer Art introduces students to digital design and
imaging---Illustrator 11, Photoshop 7 and Quark Express.

2003- 2004
Professional Practices Instructor
Taking the Leap, Emeryville, CA
Taught artists profession practices leading to making the jump into becoming
a professional, exhibiting artist: resume writing, slide labeling, targeting
and approaching galleries, writing a cohesive artist statement, learning to
discuss one’s work intelligently.

1997- 2000
Drawing and Painting Instructor
San Francisco School of Art, San Francisco, CA
Taught undergraduate students drawing and painting at a small, private art
college. Courses included methods and materials (paint making, oil painting,
encaustic, gouache, egg tempera, acrylic and watercolor), mixed media and
collage, figure painting, figure drawing and basic and advanced drawing.

1994-1997
Art Instructor
Mt. Diablo Adult Education, Concord, CA
Taught drawing to adults. Course covered figure drawing and landscape in
charcoal and pastel. Taught arts and crafts to developmentally disabled
adults.  Maintained gallery space and supplies.
